Blending classic aesthetics with cutting-edge technology, the Symphonia redefines premium streaming amplification.

German audio manufacturer T+A has introduced its latest high-end streaming amplifier, the Symphonia, describing it as “The Future of Retro.” With its VU-meter-fronted design, this amplifier isn’t just a nod to the past—it’s packed with modern streaming and amplification technology to rival the best in the industry.
At its core, the Symphonia delivers 125 watts per channel into 8 Ohms (and 250 watts per channel into 4 Ohms) using a customized Purifi Eigentakt Class D module, optimized in-house for superior performance. Powering this system is T+A’s proprietary Sine power supply, which the company claims significantly reduces interference by operating at a frequency more than twice as high as traditional power supplies.
High-End DAC & Audiophile Streaming Capabilities

T+A is keeping some details under wraps, but what we do know is that the Symphonia’s DAC takes a dual-path approach:
PCM and DSD data streams are processed separately, with the DSD side utilizing a dedicated 1-bit converter, likely relying on a low-pass filter for accuracy.
Supported resolutions include up to 384kHz/32-bit PCM and DSD256 over Ethernet or Wi-Fi, with USB DAC mode extending that to 768kHz/32-bit PCM and DSD512.
Streaming is handled by T+A’s third-generation Audiophile Streaming Architecture (ASA G3), which supports:
Deezer, Qobuz, Amazon Music, and Tidal
High-resolution local network playback
Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Apple AirPlay 2 (pending certification)
Roon Ready certification in progress (ETA unknown)
Bluetooth & Wired Connectivity
T+A has equipped the Symphonia with a bi-directional aptX HD Bluetooth interface, allowing it to function both as a streaming input and as an output for Bluetooth headphones. A quarter-inch headphone jack on the front panel also provides a high-quality wired listening option.
However, the company’s marketing suggests aptX HD can transmit uncompressed FLAC, which isn’t quite accurate—aptX HD is still a lossy format, though it provides high-quality wireless audio.

Comprehensive Inputs & Outputs
On the back panel, Symphonia offers an extensive selection of analog and digital connectivity:
Analog RCA inputs (two sets)
Phono input (supports MM and high-output MC cartridges)
Digital inputs: TOSLINK, coaxial, and two USB-C ports (one for USB DACs, one for USB storage)
HDMI ARC (for seamless TV integration)
Pre-amplifier outputs and dual subwoofer outputs (low-passed at 250Hz)
Pricing & Availability
The T+A Symphonia will retail for $9,990 and begins shipping in April. Customers can choose between a silver or black finish.
